The second round of the championships brought good golfers to the fore. Bill Fort starred with a nett 67, followed by Warren Brooks, Ben Slaven and Rodney Luxton, all nett 68. Despite his great round Rodney still lost his match to Jeff Puddle, on the 18th! Strangely, only one of 50 starters scored a two – Jono Semmens on the 8th.
Next Saturday is semi-finals day, all matches are posted. FINALS ARE ON SUNDAY, over 36 holes for the championships. Be sure to join the spectacle of the finals, it is a superb spectator event.read more
Another large turnout, 59 players, enjoyed the course in superb condition. For some there was joy in winning through the first round of the Club Champs. Others have the Flights to look forward to next week. The draw has been Emailed to participants.
