You can play golf at Walton from Tuesday 28th April as long as you follow this guidance. Please bring your own sanitiser until we can source a supply for the club.

  • General/social play is at your discretion but be aware of the guidance not to travel between regions. On Sunday the guidance on over 70s was eased.
  • Play is limited to members only. No member guests and no green fee players.
  • You must remain in your bubble, playing only with someone you have lived with for the past four weeks. This allows up to 4-balls and use of a cart for the bubble.
  • Play at 10 minutes tee time intervals.
  • Keep the minimum 2 metre distancing for all outside your bubble at all times, e.g. when waiting to tee off, at the clubhouse, in the carparks.
  • No bar or food will be available.
  • When washing hands, only use paper towels to dry your hands or bring your own towel.
  • Do NOT use the drinking fountains on holes 6, 8, 12 and 16 or the toilets on holes 6 and 15/16. This is Level 3 requirement.
  • No flagsticks or bunker rakes will be available.
  • All holes will be near the centre of the green. The cup in the hole has been inverted so the ball only drops 2 cm to aid retrieval. If the ball enters the hole and bounces out it counts as holed.
  • Do not handle any equipment of another player, e.g. retrieving a trundler, picking up a club cover or tee etc.
  • Sanitise all areas of carts likely to be touched before and after play, including the charging plug.
  • Do not make any physical contact e.g. shake hands or hug anyone with anyone outside your bubble.
  • The kiosk will be closed so use a blank scorecard. Fill in your name, date and time (start and end) of play. This is to comply with the requirements of contact tracing, a government requirement.
  • Leave the card in the box near the starter window. They will be collected and stored as long as records are required.
  • You do not need to complete scores as none will be accepted for handicapping.
