The day looked good but golf was obviously tough with a cold wind and really fast greens.  Some pin positions were challenging too. Scores reflected true winter golf.  Only Grant Wills (nett 70) beat handicap to be golfer of the week followed by Warren Brooks (nett 72).  Some of the others don’t want to be in this report.

Saturday was round 3 of the Kiwi Cup.  Our winner by a clear margin was Warren Brooks, over Ben Slaven.

Seven of the eight rounds in the Patron’s Trophy are now complete.  The leader remains Don Sharp (157 points) followed by Mark Lewis (154), Warren Brooks and Jeff Puddle (149) and John Higgens (147).  The final round is on the 7th September.
